Mac Tools Inc., a manufacturer of professional hand tools for the automotive industry, has been servicing automotive shops in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Latin America since 1938. Attention to detail has driven the company to become an industry leader, it says.

“We pay attention to detail, delivering top-quality, innovative products that meet the technician’s changing needs,” the Westerville, Ohio-based firm states. “Just as important as our quality, we are committed to creating customers for life by building lifetime relationships and impacting the lives we meet.”

Quality is Mac Tools’ No. 1 priority. “It’s [our] policy to provide world-class products and services to the marketplace that assure good value to our customers so they receive a combination of features, services, reliability, quality and competitive price that is superior to the competition,” it explains.

“Mac Tools recognizes that technical, administrative and human factors affect the quality of its products and services,” it continues. “Mac Tools will operate in such a way that these factors will be oriented toward the reduction and prevention of quality problems.
“Continuous quality improvement will be promoted in every area of responsibility.”

Recent Products
In 2007, Mac Tools introduced the Macsimizer Utility Cart, MB1300UC, which the company says is top of its class in craftsmanship.

Featuring a uniquely designed, textured rubber mat work surface top, the lid opens, giving dual access in the following two ways: by lifting, or by sliding to the side on a ball-bearing track, allowing anything on the work surface to remain, while accessing the underneath deep pocket storage.

“With over 23,000 cubic inches of storage capacity, this large utility cart can handle up to a 42-inch pry bar. The soft compound tires improve mobility by maintaining fluid motion and also reducing vibration and noise. Field testing has proven the Mac Tools’ Macsimizer to be superior in quality and durability.”

Another innovation is the Mac Tools exclusive fluid exchange tools, which are lightweight and portable, the company notes. “Cleaning the entire fuel intake system without having to remove engine components, the fuel and diesel tools remove dirt, carbon deposits, gums, varnishes and other contaminates,” it explains. “The oil tool eliminates the major source of particulates, wear elements and oil contaminants that degrade engine oil and cause engine wear.”

‘Customers for Life’
Mac Tools says it holds itself 100 percent accountable. “Mac Tools is a rarity in today’s world of big business,” it explains. “Our company is committed to a shared set of values that drives our organization, defines our culture and empowers every member of our team.

“Our values are the Mac Tools’ way of life and our way of doing business.

“We treat each other with respect, honor each other’s contributions, and are aligned and operate as one team. We operate with unquestionable integrity [and] foster an environment of continuous learning.”

The company adds that its values extend throughout its distributors’ network. “As a Mac Tools distributor, these values will empower [them] to build lifetime relationships with [their] customers,” it says. “Our values remind everyone in the Mac Tools organization that we are connected all the time, providing solutions that move the business forward. Simply stated, we believe in customers for life.”

Success Story
Mac Tools was established in 1938 by seven men with a common goal of manufacturing the finest tools in the world, the company says.

“Today, Mac Tools has a product line in excess of 8,000 items, and still uses the direct sales approach with a mobile sales force of distributors,” it adds. “Mac’s philosophy of excellent quality, price and service remains unchanged over the years, and the company spirit that made [it] successful in 1938 is the same spirit that makes [it] a leader in the automotive tool and equipment business today.”
