Founded in 1980, Jersey Precast Corp. (JPC) services the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania markets with its precast and pre-stressed products. Its products are mostly used in constructing barriers, parking, decks, columns, slabs and bridges. Its expertise sets it apart from the competition, it says.

“We at JPC are committed to providing quality products,” the company explains. “All of our products are backed by expert technical advice based on extensive experience in the design, manufacturing and application of precast and pre-stressed concrete elements.”

JPC primarily serves public entities, which include:
n New York State Dept. of Transportation
n New Jersey State Dept. of Transportation
n Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation
n New Jersey Turnpike Authority
n Port Authority of New York & New Jersey
n New Jersey Highway Authority
n New York City Dept. of Environmental Protection
n Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority
n New York City Dept. of Transportation
n Metropolitan Transit Authority

“We are proud to have on our client list almost all major contractors and public agencies in the region besides a long list of prominent private real estate developers and builders,” JPC says. “The main focus here at JPC is accommodating to any specific needs of each customer [and] project, and working to provide the most expeditious and efficient solution to pre-casting and pre-stressing needs. [We have] been enlisted to produce precast components by almost all public agencies in the tri-state area.”

To ensure a high level of quality, JPC became a certified member of the Precast and Pre-Stressed Concrete Institute (PCI) in 2002. “This enables JPC to emboss the PCI logo on all its precast and pre-stressed products,” the company stresses. “By doing so, JPC guarantees that its products meet or exceed the stringent requirements and standards set forth and constantly monitored [and] inspected by the prestigious institute.”

It adds that the company’s in-house quality control system exceeds PCI’s standards to ensure product reliability, client satisfaction, safety requirements and governmental regulatory compliances.

Recent Developments
In March, JPC moved to its new home in Hamilton Township to accommodate the company’s growing business. It bought the 219,500-square-foot, $3.5 million facility from 853 Nottingham LLC. “The single-story warehouse facility was constructed in 1910 within the 11-acre Hamilton Crossing Industrial Park in Mercer County, [N.J.],” the company says.

The building’s amenities include a 37,750-square-foot office space, eight loading docks and paved outdoor parking for 200 trailers.

In addition, JPC acquired the assets of Concrete Safety Systems (CSS) LLC in 2005. “It is our sincere intention to be a leading high-volume manufacturer of quality precast concrete products for highway and industrial use,” CSS says. “Under the new management and with very experienced and skilled production staff, it is our goal to be the premier precast manufacturer serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, New York and Delaware.”

Like JPC, CSS says, the company is built around honest, imaginative and hard-working people. “Our company is not who we are,” CSS says. “Our people are who we really are. Among our number of employees are local residents, many of whom have been with us for years, and some since the beginning of CSS.”

Sharing the same beliefs, CSS states, complements both companies. “We also keep pace with the challenges of changes in the industry and utilize every possible means to do so,” it continues. “We further believe in being a positive participant in our community and the industry in which we are privileged to be a part of.”

Ethical Company
JPC says it takes ethics seriously. Its mission states:
n “Customer satisfaction and employee empowerment are the cornerstone of our corporate philosophy.
n “We are committed to providing a work environment that promotes safety, employee welfare and growth opportunities.
n “This can only be accomplished through continued growth fueled by innovation, hard work and a firm commitment to fulfill our quality and delivery obligations to our customers.”

The company says people – employees and customers – are its most important asset. JPC’s core values state:
n “Every employee is part of the JPC family and we treat each other with respect and trust.
n “Together we work to ensure each other’s safety.
n “Customers and vendors are treated with honesty, respect and courtesy.
n “Loyalty, hard work and innovation are appreciated and rewarded.
n “We ... will conduct our business in a manner that is responsible to the environment and society.
n “We take pride in who we are and what we do.”
